Is there a way to set the Garmin to default to the map page instead of the main menu when it boots up. I like having the moving map each time I turn on the car, but get annoyed with having to select View Map each time I turn on the car and the GPS turns on.

Answer to your question is no. The device requires input because the main use of it is to "do something", whether it be to go someplace; listen to MP3 music, or something. Hence, the best place to start is at the main menu. No way around it.......
