Male Voice for Nuvi 200

According to other threads on this site about the same subject, there is no male voice for the 200

Which version has a male voice?

I downloaded it from somewhere... now you'll want to know where, and I don't know right off the bat. I'll look for it. In any case, it is a male version of American English, and I was able to just copy it to the appropriate folder on the Nuvi, select it, and it works fine. It is possible to create a custom voice if you want to take the trouble to do it. There is a utility called Voice Utility which will split the voice file (.vpm) into 116 individual .wav files. You can then modify any or all of them, then combine them into a new .vpm file, load that, and use it.

Search the threads for "Male Voice". There will be a link for you to download a male voice for your 200. It will replace the standard American_English_ file so make sure you back that one up.

I tried the male voice and found I didn't like it, so I restored the original American English voice.

Please let me know if you find it, I just want to have the option to change it when I get tired of the female voice. jejejjeje

I am sure there are many many older guys like me that have high pitch hearing loss.. female voices are hard to understand. I would love it if you could pick a male voice...Hope someone from Garmin reads this.
