Deleting files in a Nuvi 200W

Is there any issues deleting files that don't really have any use to me? I'm talking like (text and speech) language files and that sort of thing?

These units come almost completely full of files, not much room to do anything with.

Make a complete back up

Make a complete back up of the Garmin folder before doing so.

I find it much safer to simply buy a 2GB SD card for $10 and store stuff there.

I deleted all my vehicles

I deleted all my vehicles and voice files that I wasn't using (after backing them up). It freed up a lot of room.

Do the voices you deleted still show up on the menu?

Great, I already backed the

Great, I already backed the entire Nuvi onto a laptop (will burn to DVD to make more permanent). I'll see what I can do with it tomorrow!
