Mapsource Update

Is this something we have to buy?

If you already have Mapsource it is a free update !
Many threads on this site regarding Mapsource !

I've subscribed to Garmin's update for MapSource prior to the 12/04 release but I didn't get the email for the new revision. Anyone else having the same issue?

Very common problem with Garmin's email updates. I haven't received any emails in ages. I did when I first got my Street Pilot, but nothing since getting the Nüvi and it's been a year.

auggie, I went to my version of Mapsource and checked for updates and it stated "no updates available." I have v. 6.13.4 with the latest North America maps. Do you have a link to this Mapsource update info? Thanks.

Never mind, just found it on the Garmin site.

Garmin did away with that function so the Tech at Garmin tells me you have to go right to the Garmin site to download the file when you go to help in Mapsource and click updates the update engine runs and says no availible updates

Thanks for the explanation Auggie. My brain was parked on neutral earlier on and I forgot to go straight to Garmin's website.
