Magellan 3250

Well.....In a word...FANTASTIC!!! Fast, EASY, Accurate, and this is just my first day. Very clear and accurate voice prompts...tested the Bluetooth and it worked just fine. Only problem is I probably spent $15 worth of gas driving around testing. Stay tuned.

There's a good overview on the Magellan website. Checkout the above URL for the Magellan Maestro 3250.

Magellan 3250 review

I just bought a Magellan 3250 a couple of days ago. I did a review and found for my price-point that it was the best option. One thing I like is the voice command recognition. It didn't have any problems this although it was a bit larger selection. I have not activated the traffic update yet so can't offer any insights.

The Navateq maps are good and I've heard they are superior to the TeleAtlas maps. I will be playing around the SD card and POI custom libraries.

I use Sprint as my cell carrier and hear that the choice of Bluetooth compatible phones is limited for Motorola phones. Seems like a wide array of cell phone types are supported for Cingular.

Overall I am happy with it and would purchase it again. smile

Magellan 3250 review

Bought my son the 3250 for Christmas. We got as far as entering his home address when the thing quit. It went back to the store. Never buy a Magellan product again.

Magellan 3250 review

Hey DKT,

It sounds like you didn't even give it a chance. Have you ever bought a new car and something didn't work on it? Did you take it back and say you would never buy that make again? sad

Why did it quit? Was it plugged in? I just bought a 3250 for Christmas and haven't actually used it yet, but just playing with it, it seems pretty cool. cool Mine had a little charge on the battery when I opened it that lasted about 30 minutes. I'm giving it a full charge now.

Magellan 3250 Minneapolis 35W bridge collapse

I just bought a 3250 for my wife. She is a traveling nurse in the Minneapolis / St. Paul area. The base map was created in first quarter of 2007 and the I-35W bridge collapsed in Aug/sept of 2007. Their technical support has not been helpful at all in helping me figure out a workaround. I have the NAVTEQ traffic updates turned on but nothing seems to recognize that the bridge is out and the road is closed. Any suggestions anyone?

Magellan 3225

I got mine 3225 for Christmas, played with it ever since, very simple to use. I love it, you might try it to see for yourself.

Magellan 3140

I have Magellan 3140 which is 3250 minus voice recognition. I have now upgraded it with new firmware 2.16 and 6 million POIs posted in another forum.

I have traveled a lot with this gps and it has never failed me to impress. I love it.
