All hospitals are listed twice on nuvi 660

On my 660, if I click Where To, Food Lodging, Hospitals, every hospital is listed twice. If I click on each, they have the same city & phone number. At first I thought one could be for emergency room or something like that, other for main hospital. Don't think that's what's going on. I'm in the Los Angeles area, latest firmware & maps. Can someone else with a 660 try this to see if you get the same results. I looked at several others like Bank/ATM, Lodging, all have 1 line per business.

Never noticed that, but it is the same here. But if you check and move real close you should notice it is a different entrance. I think one is the ER and the other is the front door. Here in Chicago, it set up that way so the two ways don't interfere with the other.

I can think that if every Hospital in the country would be in 2 times that is a lot of wasted space. I winder if Garmin could write a patch that would remove some of them...

Some of my dupes say - ER the rest just have a - but if your hurt you want to get to the ER not the front door. But if you are only going to visit a friend, you would want the front door. Doesn't really matter in small hospitals, but some here are almost 4 city blocks and following the signs to ER when you are hurt might be difficult.

One is for the ER and the other for main hospital. At least that is how it is listed in the nuvi 350.

I just received my Nuvi 660 tonight. Haven't test drive it yet. I notice the apparent duplication. Just wonder anybody who has owned a 660 for awhile has checked the theory out, i.e. one is the hospital's ER address and the other is the hospital main entrance. Would appreciate a feedback.

If you tap on MAP you will get a map of the POI. keep hitting the + till you are maxed out. You will see that the loc is a different part of the hospital than the other.

I looked at my Garmin 680 which has all the latest firmware updates, going to Where To, Food Lodging, Hospitals and it only shows 1 entry per hospital.

Duplicate Hospitals
My 1350 that is updated with latest firmware and maps also shows 2 listings for the hospitals.
If you look at the list, 1 will end with a "ER" and the other will not. The "ER" is for the emergency room (of course) and the other is for the main entrance. We have a couple smaller hospitals in our area and they only show 1 listing.

Yep, just checked my zumo 660. Some are duped and others are single line. I fortunately never had to look up hospitals on my GPS before but it is worth knowing about the dupes beforehand.

Duplicate Hospitals
My 350 Lists the hospital twice. One just has the name the other has "ER" next to the name.
Makes a big difference in large hospitals with a few ways in.
