I downloaded google earth and all that shows up is a black screen. Did it not download all the way???

If you have a Firewall, it
If you have a Firewall, it could be blocking the ports it needs to connect. Most people use Norton Internet Security and it's notorious for causing connection issues with almost everything. I would say to avoid all Norton products.
