Redlight/Speed camera - caught

So, we have all these pois and radar detectors, license plate covers, sprays, etc.

Has anyone ever actually been caught on photo? I never have, all have been by live breathing police.

not yet

I went through few lights while it changed to yellow. I have not gotten anything in the mail.
With cars tail gating these days, I did not want to get rear ended.

Not yet by a redlight camera

But I was once caught by a speed camera, mounted on an unmarked white van, parked off to the side of the I-25 HOV lane in Denver. I knew I was caught when a series of flashes got me.

I was following an RTD bus at the time, keeping the same distance, maintaining the same speed. Wouldn't you know it, the speed camera didn't flash for the bus.

Redlight/Speed Camera - Caught

My wife was driving in Chicago and got caught turning right on red. She never even saw a sign saying it was illegal. Two weeks later she received the photo of her car with a close-up on the license plate and a ticket for $95. We didn't have a GPS yet, so didn't have the POI. It is useful to have the locations noted.

Yes, count me as "Caught" once.

As a matter of fact, yes, I got nailed in early Jan of this year. I got mail from the City of Chicago, along with two photos of my vehicle going through a red light. The bizarre thing about all this is that I actually do remember when this happened cuz I mentally timed the yellow light and was amazed at how short the it was. When I returned and checked the time again, I was right, it was only 3 seconds long as I had remembered.

Every other light Ive check in the city has been 4 seconds. I never even got a kiss for my $90. I now have the red light camera file loaded on my GPS. I have to admit I am now much for careful when it goes to stop lights.

In the mail?

I was in Dayton the other day and slowed to take a close look at the cameras to see if they were for looking at traffic flow, red light cameras or both. As I was looking the light turned yellow, then quickly red as I gradually made my turn. I guess I will soon find out if it is in the mail or I made it through...

My wife was waiting in the

My wife was waiting in the middle of an intersection waiting for on coming traffic to stop so she could make a left hand turn. They kept coming and coming and when she could finally make the turn, the light was already red and as she did, she saw the flash. Since the car is in my name, the ticket was issued to me.

I got one in Baltimore City, this was before I got my GPS with the POI. My wife got a speeding ticket via speed camera in DC.

But they aren't always correct. There are sprays that work.

Fight it. That is NOT a fine-able offence if she was already past the white line before the light turned red.

Last week I made a right

Last week I made a right turn from the right turn lane on a red light. Half way through the turn the camera flashed on me. There is no sign saying no right turn on red. Still waiting to see if I get something in the mail. My GPS did alert me of the red light camera.

I have just downloaded the red light and speed cameras and I hope they do come in handy.I have never received a ticket from either one and hope these two downloads help me out. Here in Florida they followed so close when you break for a caution light you asking for someone to hit you.I never go on green here until I count 3 cars on the other side who breeze through on the yellow or red light.

Last week I made a right

In Houston, they now give you a ticket if you have not come to a complete stop before turning right, i.e. California stop. The camera flashes and you have had it. I am not sure how the heck they know if you stopped or not before turning right.

Caught more then once

I wish this was not true but my wife have tested both red light and speed cameras with much success for them. She'd confirmed that they do work.
