Viewing poi's after downloading

After downloading the new "RestAreasCombined" on my c340 I only find a limited number when reviewing (scrolling through the poi's)the list. Is it normal for these larger files to have limited viewing? Of the 1700+ files I am only able to see maybe 50 on my gps. Anybody else notice this?

For all POI lists, the unit will show the 50 closest locations to your current position. The rest of them are in there, and you can find them by browsing the maps or searching the list by name.

As you navigate the nearest 50 pois would always be seen, sounds good to me. Where is this spelled out, anywhere?

only 50 will show you have to click on near here or put in where you want to check and they will show up near here means where your car is at the time you click near here
