Cameras and strobe lights located closer to ground level are used to photograph the driver and the vehicle's front license plate.

The camera mounted on a tall pole points downward to capture a photo of a vehicle inside the intersection.

Unlike a traffic camera, the high pole camera points down to see the intersection rather than vehicles lined up waiting before the intersection.
