missing location on city navigator north america nt 2008 maps

I could not locate a Circuit City store close to me on my GPS system because it is not listed. I email Garmin support and this why the location is not included.I thought it was worth passing on.At the bottom you will see a web address for form to use for other areas you may be aware of and want to submit.
Thank you for contacting Garmin International. Circuit City is probably
not listed because that particular store is not listed with Dunn &
Bradstreet. Many chain stores used to list only their area headquarters
with D&B and let customers find the stores from the Yellow Pages. Our
GPS data base comes from D&B and as many customers are looking the
products like this instead of the Yellow Pages, many corporations are
changing their listing. We ask our customers that come across addresses
or errors in the mapping to fill out an error report form. This form
then goes to our cartography dept. for them to investigate the
information provided and release the information on the next update. We
come out with updates every 12-15 months usually in late summer. I have
provided you with the direct link to the error report form below.

Every Circuit City Store shows up on my C330 with 2008NT when I type in Circuit City in the Spell Name menu Might take the GPSr afew seconds to find them if they are some distance away from your location. Of course, if it is a new store , less than 12-18 months old it may not show up !

I can also find circuit city
I can also find circuit city stores with my gps but the one that is less then one mile fro my home that has been there for close to 15 years does not show up.I didn't mean to apply that I could not get any circuit city stores.Best Buy a new store that has been there only 2 years shows up and it is on the same block.So I would have to say based on this that even though you may find circuit city stores the list is not complete.

That's why sites like this exist
Never assume that the list built in to your GPS is complete. They are good for a lot of things but, with stores opening and closing all of the time, things change a lot more frequently than the GPS manufacturers and mapping companies can keep up with. I download, and check often for, certain POI files for stores or other places that might come in handy when I am traveling. I would hate to be routed to a Wal-Mart to get medicine or something else and not know that I am bypassing two newer stores that the GPS didn't know were there.

Don't forget to download the latest Combined Rest Area POI file (all 48 states). As I was modifying it I checked out several Rest Areas on I-95 & I-4 and all seem perfect.
Miss POI should be able to put it on the site within 24 hours.

we don't miss many cracker barrels and spend a lot at walmart.we are going to New Port Richey FL and they have lots of them too.Thanks for the invite.

My co-worker absolutely loves cracker barrel so we go there all the time when we are traveling.

I have been waiting for the rest stop download to show up so I could download it.I think the rest stops would come in handy because we do lots of road trips.I need 95 and 75 right now for our trip.
Johnston county (smithfield, nc) has a nice cracker barrel. it is in the middle of nc on 95, so sorta nice 'half way' stop. if you have the 2008 maps (may be on v8 as well) it is on there.
There is also a POI for all NC rest stops.

You forgot to mention the 150+ factory outlet stores at the same exit!!! We never miss them!!!

There is a CVS store a mile from my home that has been there for several years and does not show up on my Nuvi 660 with NT Update 2008. Thanks for the error reporting link. I used it to send Garmin a message.
