Why can't I see all info

I am trying to get into making POIs. For an example the POIs for Cracker Barrel US stores when I open it in Excell I can see the Lat., Long.,Name and location but that's all. On my Garmin Nuvi 670 I see the town, the phone number and some other items. I want to make a POI of locations in Ontario, Canada showing the Name, Address, Phone Number, Etc. If I import the Cracker Barrel file into POI Edit I see the phone number and missing items I don't see in Excell ( Office 2007 ) on Vista. Can someone please point me to a tutorial or explain what I need to do?

Are Your Columns Widths

That's one of the first things I tried. There are 4 columns showing in Excell.

Try

Expanding the row height. If there is a line feed the data can be hidden.

If the 4th column has linebreaks, it will only display the first line. Just click on the 4th column and it should display all of the lines.

AutoFit Rows

Highlight the whole spreadsheet, click on FORMAT, then ROW and then AUTOFIT.

You will see all the info that had most likely been separated by line feeds (alt - ENTER)

Open it in notepad to see

Open it in notepad to see how it has been formatted. Not that it will help you with your problem, but at least you know that you dealing with alt+Enter or you simply don't have a fourth column.

Try

I tried that when I expanded the column width, but I guess I didn't expand it enough. The info was in column 4, thanks for your help. Makes me think of when I started into computers long, long ago. Most answers are so obvious when pointed out, that you feel so duh! Now I can start this project and hopefully end up with something worthwhile.

Thanks, Doug

Asking doesn't make it a question; wanting to know the answer makes it a question.
