Newbie here
I'm practically torn between the C530 and Nuvi 200.
The price is the same, size is a factor, but so is the nice mount on the c530.
But my main question is whether the c530 had a better touchscreen and LCD. I recently used a Nuvi 200 a bit, and I felt the touchscreen and LCD were worse than the Cxxx series, but I hadn't used the Cxxx in ages... But then again, maybe my expectations have changed!
Any comments / comparisons extremely appreciated

I use to have the 530 and now the nuvi 350. Here are my own personal opinions...
Nuvi
1) Better size, easier to take with you
2) able to view coordinates and altitude (not sure about the 200 though)
C530
1) better antiglare screen
2) better sound
My coworker wanted one and I told her if she didn't care about the size, go with the C550 (that is the one that she was looking at vs the nuvi350). The nuvi had the travel kit (which she didn't care about) and the nuvi had the ability to view altitude and coordinates, which she really didn't care much about either. She got the C550 and is very happy with it.

You can even hack C530 to have text-to-speech.

I have read Garmin has disabled the hack in the new versions. Can I downgrade somehow?

Can you show me how to hack the c530 to speak text-to-speech
Hello, I was just looking at your response and I would definitely like to know how to hack the unit so it will have the text-to-speech option.
Please email me back.
It is on this page, however,
It is on this page, however, just as a warning, it may affect your GPSr in unintented ways. Just a disclaimer. It worked for me, but I have heard where it didn't work for others.

Go here ...

Scroll down until you see the folder for your model/family, click on the folder and you will see the various versions of the firmware.
Download the one you want and run it.
YES, the Nuvi 200 can display coordinates / altitude

Displaying the coordinates and altitude is one of the main features I felt the Cxxx were missing The other one IMHO is a better detour system, e.g., like Magellan's. On a side note, I had used a Nuvi 350 for a day and I wasn't impressed by the TTS feature.
After quite a bit of research, I have found that YES, the Nuvi 200 can report and route to a specific coordinate. Needless to say, I ordered a Nuvi 200.
Thanks again to everyone. I hope I won't get disappointed by the screen
I'll keep you updated
The same file?

I bet if you used it for awhile, vs the non tts voice, you would reconsider that option. however, I hope that you enjoy the 200 and I am glad that you found out that you can input coordinates.
