Mass marking of unread messages as read.

Having recently been out of touch for about a week, I have some comments about the functionality of the marking unread messages as read function. Having over 7 pages of messages, it would have taken me days to read them all, and there are many that I wasn't interested in, based on the title.
1. Marking unread messages as read is a time saver.
2. Functionality can be improved. Going from one message to another, I tried to either read a message or ignore it so that all of the unread messages (that I wasn't interested in) would be grouped together and could then be marked as unread. However, when you get past the first page, after reading a message, the unread button takes you back to the first page. Repeating this becomes very tiresome.
3. Recommend, if possible, to allow a mass marking as read to take place on the page only, in addition to all. In that case, after reading any items I'm interested in on the first page, I could mark the remaining ones before moving to the next page.
Doesn't happen often, but with the volume of messages, this would be a great time saver. Another option might be to provide a mark all messages as read as an option under each forum.

I'll look at doing something with the unread posts screen so it's easier to mark a group of messages as read. (This page is custom-built, so I have more flexibility that with some of the other pages on the site.)

This feature already exists
When you're logged in, you can click on "discussions" at the top of the screen and then go into the forum you want to mark as read.
When you're in a forum page, the "Mark all topics as read" link applies to just that forum.

Guess I missed it. Would have saved a lot of time, but I didn't even think about it until I was writing the message. As usual, you are two steps ahead.
