Confusion on Interstate Rest Areas

Someone wanted all the rest areas in one file, so I volunteered to do this. So everyone would know how many states were in the combined file, I named it according to the number of states (RestAreas_FourtyEight_V.csv) (does not include HI or AK). The reason the combined file got updated this time is because we found 5 more rest area files (7 states) outside of the 'Rest Area' category which weren't picked up in the original go-around.

Please remember, the credit goes to the authors of these individual files. They did the major work.

Thanks, not complaining, just a little confused.

Anyone know why I get an access denied message when I click on the file? I downloaded it and it became the most useful file on my recent 1400 mile trip. I wanted to see if there was any updates and now can't get to the file.

I am in the process of an update - have been writeups on this in other threads . Is still 5-6 weeks away - chipping away at the 1800 entries - verifying-cjhanging etc. Will be quite accurate when I finish.
Maybe someone will beat me to it !

Combined list of lower 48 states Rest area is still in process of being updated. I am now about 65 % complete in updating RT's original listing.
Will check with moderators before I upload.
Was delayed a couple weeks because of health issues !
The more I work on it - the more ways I find to improve it so it's time consuming since right now I am up to 1823 sets of coordinates.
BTW-the ones I've checked out around here in FL are
quite accurate. Get alert in plenty of time (set for 1 mile) to get in proper lane.

Jon is building a new system that will make combining small state files like this really easy. Once we get the new system up we will be working on combining the files in the POI Packages so that there will always be the option to select the "Top Picks" feature which will include all the files that are listed in the POI Files field. Simply combining the files is not all that hard. The tricky parts are keeping things easy to maintain and tracking credit for who contributed each location.

FYI - Complete update with verification is now
exactly 80 % complete. Still plugging away at it!
IF I keep going at rate I'm achieving now it should be complete ABOUT the 3rd week of October.
