Nuvi 350 just dies...

Has anyone had a Garmin Nuvi simply die? We were driving along and the Nuvi appeared to be working fine. Looked out the window for a few seconds, looked back at the Nuvi and the screen had gone dark. No resets ( soft or hard ) would get it going again. Eventually got a replacement from Garmin and a stern warning about not storing it in a car when the temperature is between 5°F to 158°F (–15°C to 70°C). A parked car in Canada will easily surpass both temperatures in the winter and summer! Guess we don't have to worry too much about the Nuvi getting stolen as we obviously can't leave it in the car very often.
