On the road again.....

Well, Jon and I are piling our children into the car for another long road trip, time to go home so neither of us will be online today. It will take us 11 hours to get home. Have a great day everyone.

Home

I can't tell you how nice it is to be home:) Traveling to see family is nice but there really is no place like home.
Miss Poi

welcome back!

I didn't realize you'd left to visit family. Hope you had a nice Christmas! I gotta ask which GPS did you use and how did it perform?

holiday travels

We were away from home for about a week as we traveled via car from Idaho to the Oregon coast and Northern California. All together, we logged close to 1,500 miles with a StreetPilot 2610 as our guide.

GPS worked well pretty much everywhere. We did lose signal several times while driving a narrow road though the Redwood forest. I'm amazed it was able to get any signal at all through the dense canopy of giant trees that lined both sides of the road. Away from the forest, GPS was rock solid.

It's nice to be home again with our regular computer setup and broadband access. Next week, I'll be working on getting all the new POI files cleaned up and better organized. Miss poi and I are truly impressed by all of the great contributions that have been made over the last week.
