how do i get the bmp and the weigh station alert to work

If you click on the icons link at the top of the page and scroll to the bottom of that page, you will find detailed instructions on how to load the icons.

Then do the same thing for the sounds to find out about alert sounds.

I sure would like to help with this for the Calif. locations, along with all the Calif. weigh stations, but unfortunately my c530 doesn't give me any coordinates.

That's what Map Source is used for. Save the location you want the co-ordinates for in Favorites, download them to your computer via Map Source, and you will see the lat/lon readings. If you don't have map source call or e-mail Garmin and tell them you wish to manage your favorites, they usually respond by sending you a free copy of this program. Hope this helps...

(Degrees), THIS IS THE FORMAT I NEED

If yall want to help the loactions should be as such
DO NOT SUBMIT PERMENANT WEIGH STATIONS There is a file for that allready..
This file is for places DOT uses ocasionally for inspections and portabable scales from time to time.
and Border Patrol Stations such as those on I-10
Also let me define Permenant Weigh Stations.
IF THE LOCATION HAS A BUILDING ON IT, IT IS PERMANANT. and does not belong in this file. EXCEPT
if it only has an inspection bay and no weigh house
then it does go in this file.
If your not sure check the (Randy McNally Moter Carriers Road Atlas), ALL PERMANENT WEIGH STATIONS are listed by state in this book. AND DO NOT BELONG IN THE {INSPECTION STATION POI}.. THOSE ARE IN THE {WEIGH STATION POI}

Yall that know how to make Icons
I want an icon for the Inspection Station File that has a Magnifing Glass in it. If someone knows how to
make Icons send it to me.
Also a sound file in a female voice that says
(Caution, Inspection Station Ahead).

So you CAN use whatever format you get.

True but with hundreds of locations coming in that would be a real pain doing all that converting its much eaiser if they send them to me in Degrees

Be happy you get it. Take what comes, convert if needed and use it - don't complain the 'gift' you get isn't to your liking...

Thanks for the info! I will call Garmin tomorrow about getting Map Source. I needed to call them anyway to get them to send me the 2008 map for my c530 that I just got last week.

You Can Go IN under format on the nuvi 660 and change the format under coordinates there is a button at the bottom. i hope i did not missunderstand the conversation.
