POI Sounds

Last night I successfully downloaded several POI's to my Nuvi 350. Can someone tell me how to configure my GPS to sound an alert or play an mp3 when I'm at a given proximety to a POI location? I've loaded the "Lowe's" POI, I'd like for my gps to say "Approaching Lowes"

Thanks!

.

Have you taken a look at the instructions on the sounds page?

In order to be alerted, you must set an alert when you run POI Loader. If you run POI Loader in Manual Mode, you can set the proximity distance for your Custom POIs to whatever distance you wish.

That's just what I was

Ok, I have one more question. Is it possible to configure the map to display POI's that you are not directly navagating to?

Thanks again for the link.

Hey MM

Having trouble downloading alert sounds using Windows XP....MP3 loads onto Windows Media player and plays but I don't think the file downloaded. POI's download OK......not Alert sounds. Any ideas?
Jake

Zoom in

Yes, but I believe on the nuvis you have to zoomed in quite far to see them on the map. Try zooming all the way in, then zoom out until don't see them.

Right click

Right click on the sound link instead of left clicking. The select "Save target as" or "Save link as ..." in the context menu.

Thanks MM

Once again you saved me from pulling out the last of my remaining hair! Jake

Try "Browse" map mode
