Volume adjustments

Due to occasional ambient noise (window open, stereo, kids, etc) I find that at times my C-340 just is not loud enough. I do have it either at the top volume level, or just one below. "It is said that your hearing is the second thing that goes as you get older...I just can't remember the 1st! smile .................."
Anyway, with the expertise on this site, can anyone shed some light as to the possibilities on pumping up the volume on this rascal?

Thanks!

Same here

If you have the window open or the radio on (even on low), the C340 is totally inaudible. It'd be nice if there were a way to crank the volume up.

Dumb answer

portable radio and an FM receiver might work.

Seriously, I'm down a quart in the hearing department (courtesy of the army), and I have trouble hearing my wife - let alone the GPS at full volume. The Hearing guy suggested changing the voice used as sometimes the hearing is affected by pitch. The other suggestion is to use an earphone - like the bluetooth system.

Also a good radio shop might have an auxiliary amp that can be used via the headphone jack but be careful of the frequencies and power used.

Roll up your window, turn off your stereo, get rid of your kids, etc... smile
