?? about removing software from WinXP

I'm using a PC with WinXP Home SP2. Since updating my 2720 with the new City Navigator North America NT 2008 Update, I now show the following 2 entries in the "Add/Remove" section of Control Panel. This is in addition to Mapsource, Webupdater, etc.
Here is what's shown
- Garmin City Navigator North America NT 2008 update at
1,325MB
and
- Garmin City Navigator North America NT V8 at 1,252MB
Are these the software that's also been loaded to Mapsource in addition to my 2720???
Is there any reason to leave the old V8 there?

No reason to keep V8, I deleted mine after I was sure the NT2008 was loaded and working on my unit.
