nuvi 200 map set transfer

Hi all,
I live in ireland and until recently used a street pilot 320 and mapsource Europe V9 and City select N. America maps. When I travelled I saved a map set e.g. California on SD card and used it in the street pilot. Never had any problems.
Just the other day I bought a Nuvi 200 as it is lighter and neater unit to carry around on flights etc and has one or two extra features. It came with UK and Ireland maps pre-loaded, fine, but I also want to use it in other parts of Europe and the USA. The sellers assured me that I could load map sets in on SD card as I did with the street pilot. However when I tried this I got a message saying that the unit could not unlock maps. I dont want to go back to store where it was bought as I suspect strongly that they are not very knowledgeable in this area. Incidently the maps I used (mentioned above ) were bought new and legitimately on line, and were unlocked with the Garmin code. Sorry to be so long winded about this but I would be most grateful for any help or advice anybody can give. Thanks, Pacman
.
Are you saying that you are trying to load maps onto your nuvi that you previously unlocked to your SP 320?
If so, you will need to purchase an additional unlock code. Once the maps are unlocked to a particular unit, that unlock code is used up. You can't use it to load the maps to a second unit unless you have an unused unlock code.

Thanks for your help. I can now use City Navigator Europe NT V9 maps on the Nuvi. However unfortunately my City Select N. America is not compatible with the Nuvi ( too old). I guess its upgrade or keep to my Street Pilot.
I appreciate your help.
Cheers, Pacman
2008 Maps on nuvi 200
I got the 2008 map update for my nuvi 200. As you know, only the 48 states (which include PR and VI) fit in internal memory. I put AK, HI, and Canada on an SD card. So, I now have a 250 for the price of a 200.
