Garmin Express 7.29.1 runs an update check daily and writes log files

CraigW let us all know about 10 days ago that GE 7.29.1 was released.

This version of Garmin Express has reenabled the task that checks for updates at 2 AM. Even if the computer is off at 2 AM it will run the next time it is ON. To disable, go to the Task Scheduler using the command taskschd.msc. Once there expand the Task Schedule Library, then scroll down the list and locate the Garmin Updater Task. Right click the task and chose Disable. There is also a Delete option but I've never used it. Then I suggest you go to C:\ProgramData\Garmin\Logs\Express. This is where the logs are written in Windows 10 and it is probably the same in other versions. You can safely delete all the logs, each of which take up about 500K.
