operating software upgrades

For all the talk about updating the map, people should be reminded that Garmin periodically upgrades the operating software too. I discovered by chance that there were several available for the nuvi and Map76 that I own, even though I had updated them just a few months ago.

Most of the improvements seem tiny and unimportant, and they probably are. I did notice that some mispronunciations by Jack, Jill and the others in the cast are supposedly fixed, or at least improved.

So get out your web updater, and click to find out what's awaiting you.

Good advice GC. We usually check ours once a month or so but you have reminded us that it has been longer than that.

Version 2.90 for nuvi

The Version 2.90 update for the nuvi 2x0 is nice. It adds trip stats to the route overview page and I like how it now zooms out incrementally when following a route.
