Couple of ??? about a 2720

Couple of questions concerning the 2720:
1. I have some custom POI's loaded by using POILoader in the manual mode. I specificed a distance alert for one of them. When the alert shows at the top of the screen, is there anyway to turn it off once you've seen it??
2. Is there anyway to turn off displaying the airport stuff, particularly airport names? Something I don't need as I don't fly.

Yes just go into tools and set the alerts to no far as your airport file take the airport file out and reload your poi files with poi loader
