What Is The Source Of The Garmin City Navigator POIs

If I recall correctly, the maps that Garmin City Navigator uses comes from HERE. Where do the POIs comes from? Do they also come from HERE or does Garmin compile them?

POIs

They come from Here and are imbedded into the map data. Garmin strips a lot of the data from the Here file to make their release fit their units. A full download of map and data from Here is over 12GB in size. I would get that size data file for my Land Rover every month.

How can I get the unstripped version?

I have a 32GB micro SD card in my Garmin Zumo XT and I would gladly install a larger one, if necessary.

I believe all current Garmin units specify a maximum microSD card size of 32GB. A larger one may work but it's not validated by Garmin.

While I recall that 32GB was the limit in the past, it looks like that has changed:

Installing a Memory Card for Maps and Data
You can install a memory card to increase the storage space for maps and other data on your device. You can purchase memory cards from an electronics supplier, or go to www.garmin.com/maps to purchase a memory card with pre-loaded Garmin® mapping software. The device supports microSD® memory cards from 4 to 256 GB.

A device may draw maps more slowly when using a card with a larger capacity if there are too many files and/or large files on the card. https://support.garmin.com/en-US/?faq=UsL6MuMMCM8PpgAhUUCqp7...
