Is this possible (alerts for train crossings without a .csv file)?

Hi Everybody,
It it possible to have an alert play when the route you're traveling, approaches a RR crossing? A sound alert that's triggered (or detected) by the Mapsource map and not a .csv file?
Thanks for your time.

I don't believe so
I dont believe you can do that. I have a file for rail crossing that I am building for my area. I created a MP3 "check for the choo choo" if you would like.

Thanks for the offer firenutts...
I was just wondering if an .mp3's could be setup to trigger( play), when nearing the RR crossings depicted on Mapsource itself.
Thanks for your help...

Yeah, unfortunately you can't do that. I'm not aware of any alerts that come from the built in data.
