A trip to the dentist.

Fall is definitely in the air but still quite warm

to head across the bridge and get the tires rotated.

Why? When I work across the river?

That Costco really does rebalance wheels as part of a rotation. Not sure why. I mean when a standard rotation says rotate and rebalance, all Costco's I've been to over many years, just rotate. So the fact that they actually perform the work that's on the invoice, I decided that's good. Since free I guess I let it go that it was never really done.

Also, in a normal work month, I'll only get 16 trips in September, when it takes 18 to get the commuter discount.

Another way I'm fighting the $1 increase on the bridge this month. Moving cash that is in non-interest bearing checking, into 4.2% apy online savings. Why I have anything non-interest bearing is my bad--just let direct deposit go without touching anything. Thursday I moved some money that will earn 40 cents/day. Will move some more in the coming days. Problem is that's 40 cents before taxes. The $1 is after taxes. Prolly need to look for $1.24/day in interest to overcome the toll increase. Pretty sure it's not $1.32/day.

This weekend

12:15am Monday and I'm finally winding down. Soon however I get to deal with idiots.

went across the river to get our tires rotated at Costco (this one actually rebalances all 4 wheels--it's part of the job, but no other Costco in my area does it--when I asked this time, the tech said see here, it's part of the job, we have to do it).

To justify the bridge toll, we eat at a restaurant that we like, cash only.

It's rare these days but the staff treats us very well--such as dropping off a stack of napkins along with a package of wipes.

Bringing containers to pack up leftovers.

So for me, I was generous. $115 check, I left $150.

I can't be like Mark E Mark who when this happens, he and his brother leave $1,000. But for me, I felt generous.

My son is 10, and he's starting ice hockey. I couldn't be more excited to see him hit the ice this Saturday, and over the next 22 weeks.

I had dreams of him playing at 4 or 5, but it's like crime. Means, motive, opportunity. Things always happen for a reason, when they do.
