Went

to Brooklyn and Queens. Encountered more bad driving on the BQE, related to people who are afraid of medians. A guy in a Silverado drove by and clipped our sideview mirror because he was so far out (tires running over the dotted line to his right). When I put my window down and pointed at it, the guy was clueless. He thought I wanted to get in front of him, and motioned for me to do so. He had zero idea about his mirror clipping mine. He must have been 75+ so it's not attributable to being a young driver. The lesson to be learned is bad and inconsiderate driving isn't personal, but it is rampant. imho if one remembers that, they won't get upset and it won't escalate into road rage. After all, it's just a few hundred or a thousand dollars.

Windmill post

I had to purchase a DS76 over what I thought was an issue with my DS65. I could return the DS76 - the reason I bought it fixed itself when I hard reset my smartphone - but the spontaneous reboots on the DS65 coupled with a nice quality of life improvement in voice command on the DS76 compel me to keep it.

Traveling...

Finishing up week #1 of a 4-5 week cross country camping trip. So far it's been good except for "cleverly" falling down in the dark and tearing up my left knee and right ankle/foot on the jagged edge of a blacktop parking pad. GAH! Looks pretty bad and doesn't feel very good but it's my own damn fault. Booked a room today so we can shower and do some laundry then it's back to camping tomorrow.
