Aunt.

I lost my last living aunt this week. She was 87. I now have no living relatives of my parents' generation on either side of the family. It's a sobering thought to realize that my generation is now "on the bubble".

Winter again.

Snowing and slippery roads today after several weeks of spring-like weather. I got up at 5 am this morning intending to make a 3 1/2 hour road trip to attend my aunt's funeral. Checked the road conditions and saw the entire route was snow covered with several reported accidents. So I decided to cancel my trip.
