Is There Any Sort Of Pattern Regarding When Garmin Announces New Automobile Devices?

As posted above, is there any sort of pattern regrading when Garmin announces new automobile navigators? For example, it seems like certain products are announced at various trade shows. For example, consumer electronics are sometimes announced at the Consumer Electronics Show.

Has Garmin typically waited for automobile shows to release any devices? (It seems like some marine electronics might be announced at certain boat shows.)

There may have ever been some threads long ago that studies the patterns. Nowadays, though, maybe the patterns is there is no pattern!

I think it is hard to see any kind of "pattern" other than new model announcements in the automotive line have become very scarce in the past couple of years.

Do y'think

It's got anything t'do with automobiles having Apple Car Play and Android Auto..

BTW, I'd guess many other PND's ( personal navigation devices) will soon go by the wayside..

As cell phones have access to satellite access for not only geolocation but data as well in some situations, I mean see when there's no PNG's any longer.. likely sooner n' later.

I like my PNG

I am quite fond of my DS65, I have it permanently (glued) mounted to my dash (next to my driver side window) where I can see it yet not obstruct my view. Continually driving in strange/new parts of Edmonton I like to see where I am and/or what's ahead. With the Garmin Drive app I see a reasonable amount of traffic issues.

When using it to find an address/route and Garmin can't find it I have a fallback with Google or Apple maps on my Car Play info screen. But much prefer to keep my info screen blank with the time or playing music.
Works for me..
