I don't want to brag, but I am one lucky guy.

I just got an email from "Costco Department" with the subject "You HaveWON_an Swiffer Wetjet!"

This right after getting one from "WalmartCustomerSupport": "You're the Exclusive Recipient of Bose Wireless Headphones!"

Can you believe it! Two great prizes in two days.

The good fortune doesn't stop there. Also within the past few days, "Membership account_!" says "Congrats! You've Been Selected For Peacock Gift.!!"

Also both "WalmartCustomerSupport" and Sam'sClub_Department are offering to reward me for my opinion if I take their surveys, "Package(1)" is offering to "Track [My]Delivery FromUPS NOW..," "SiriusXM_Membership" is suggesting I "Join the SiriusXM Loyalty Program," and "Elon Musk's_Portable_Heater" wants me to "Discover Affordable, Eco-FriendlyHeating with_Elon."

…how many people will fall for scams such as this. If the scammers weren’t making money doing this, they would stop. I believe it was Barnum who said that there is a sucker born every minute.

It's mind boggling that people actually fall for this stuff. There are so many gullible (okay, downright stupid) people in the world.

I got plenty of them on daily basis.
If they can't spell my name right, it is a spam.
If they spell my name correct, someone leaked my personal info.

Basically, you can find your name, phone number(s), street addresses and email address in many websites. It is not private information any more...

Unfortunately, there are people out there who fall for these scams. That is why they continue to do what they do. There should be better ways of blocking them.

Just got one saying that I have a voice mail

Just got one saying that I have a voice mail, that came to my voice mail account for my cell.
1. It wasn't my provider.
2. It said click here to get the message.

Duh!!

I've read that if e-mails cost a fraction of a cent each that the problem would diminish significantly.

Is Publishers Clearing House still around? I remember decades ago of entering that contest. I never bought any magazines so I figured they always placed my mailed entries into the round file.

I did get

a letter from the Costco tax department. It had to do with charging incorrect sales tax in NJ on light bulbs (pack of 6 chandelier LED lights for $2.99--but they charged tax on the non discounted amount). So it had a $10 cash card inside--I'm sure it was preemptive to a class action.

Then I got another settlement check for the Takata airbag scandal, which I take to represent the leftover proceeds being distributed.

Who says free money isn't sent through the USPS.

I figure I will get $100 from Verizon for their cheating ways. But to recoup they've raised prices by $4/line.
