additional viia points, and length of stops

On my computer I have the old v.6, or maybe it was on Microsoft Streets and Trips, I could calculate trips out and plan for more than one stop length of stop for several days in a row.
I now have nuvi 660.
Has anyone seen any progam that could be added that would give me the greater ability to plan my trips out?
And is there a way to record my trips and save them back to computer?

Can't add to the unit, but a good pc-based app should let you create your waypoints so you could load them as Custom POIs. Just an idea.

You could save up to 500 waypoints as Favorites along your journey and then harvest the file when ready. I think PoiEdit would help, though someone else surely has the hot ticket.

Cheers.

.

If you use S&T to plan your route and create your waypoints, you can use GPSU (http://www.gpsu.co.uk/) to convert the EST file to a GPX file and then use MapSource to load the waypoints to your nuvi. Then you would have to select the waypoints one at a time to route yourself.

The nuvi does not support routes nor can you have an active route with more than one viapoint.

The nuvi does not support tracks. So there is no way to do that.

Nuvi trying to keep it compllicated

i guess someday i will get around to trying that however i have a problem getting mapsource to work keeps popping up and saying i have no mapsource products apparently i am missing something.

If you don't need to Convert any files....

You can use MapSource from start to finish to create a "route" with multiple "waypoints" save as gpx file and as MM states, you will have to select each Waypoint (via-point) one at a time.
