If you're in the market, it pays to check eBay occasionally for older GPS units like the 3597 and Driveluxe 51.

Make sure the listing includes the power cable & mag mount.

I keep it safely, so it won't be stolen.

Very good and nice unit since my own many units from Garmin

but battery when going bad, that's the most important thing you need to consider again

many electronic devices recently sticky to fail battery as their agenda to make sure you cannot use the device again and push your pocket to buy new unit with many less features, that's my point!

Don't count many super bad quality of battery on the market without QA then it can explode your devices or at least make your devices looking like the balloon and all things going dead without any notices.

You might buy the 2K for iphone or samsung, it's the same, battery still making from big giant companies outsources from the dictator country, which would like to take this world as number one

then you can guess you are under the trap of lot of things

same electric car, will it make envir. safer or just it's another trap for their agenda, because all current battery mostly make from the country you might know the name, or their subs. operations under different names, same raw materials from that country.

Again, it's super nice device without battery inside, are you still interested? Yes or No under my opinions only

I bought a "parts only" 3597 on eBay last week for $25. The unit was in bad shape with a dented case and cracked screen. It came with the magnetic mount and GTM60 power cable though, which made it a bargain.

I use it in one of my vehicles to avoid the hassle of plugging & unplugging when moving the 3597 between vehicles.
