So how does this update work

So how does this update work with w7 systems?
(Not available to test, not at home now)
Does it load but not work? Or not update at all?

A 2689LMT in both our cars that we love... and a Nuvi 660 with Lifetime Maps that we have had literally forever.... And a 2011 Ford Escape with Nav System that is totally ignored!

GE 7.18.4.0 won’t work with Windows 7

“Load but not work or not update at all?” My suggestion is don’t even attempt either action. Why be the guinea pig for something that isn’t supported?

On old and new

The latest GE worked fine on WIN 11 Pro. Updates were no issue on the 2797 and DS 86.
It WILL DL or move the maps to the SD card on the DS 86.

So many updates

So many updates on Garmin Express lately. I’m not going to bother because I don’t own a wearable. Older versions work perfectly fine for map installs on my older GPS units anyways.

Very poor software

Very poor software writing!

On one hand they say no more support for w7 & W8

On the other hand it informs me (W7) that an update is available!!
