Nuvi 2689LMT - Boot Loop Problem Fixed by Short Tronics

Back in September of 2022, I reported that my Nuvi 2689LMT was stuck in a continous boot loop and unusable.

I let a buddy try fixing it using "Cure", but no luck.

On this forum, it was suggested that I send the GPS in to Short Tronics (aka The Palm Doctor) in Minnesota. I finally decided to get the device fixed, so I got it back from my buddy and sent it in.

I am pleased to report that Chris Short was able to fix the problem. The 2680LMT is now back with me and working fine.

If you’ve got a bricked GPS, give them a call. They may be able to help.
