Yay!

Glad to hear it!

Sure that was good to hear..

Sometimes I think the doctors forget how much of a roller coaster of emotions some go through waiting for results. Going in soon for my CAT scan. Year 4 for me. Cancer sucks!

yup

Yeah it is. He was quick to give me the bad news but takes his time to give me the good, I've questioned him about it before. He said there's no need for urgency when things are looking good and he has a lot of other patients going thru it so he needs to focus on them.

Praying for you Bill!

Besides praying (no small thing... God who created the universe does answer and heal), there is another practical thing we can do, if willing and able - donate blood! I am a regular donor in San Diego and am aware that especially since the CCP virus and all its consequences, the supply here often hovers around no more than a day or two available. No matter if you do not live close by to Bill, the supply can be transported to the acute need, so the more there is available overall, the better. As he mentioned, cancer patients often need multiple units at a time for treatment, creating some of the highest demand.

In your corner Bill - hope that makes being you suck a little less! smile

You will be in my prayers

You will be in my prayers and asking for divine intervention.
When we think of covid we think of the direct cause mortality but don't often give much credence to the indirect effects of the shutdown. Hopefully we learned our lesson, don't shutdown the world unless the pandemic is such that if your exposed you die. The flu virus would be more deadly than covid if it wasn't for a flu vaccine. The flu mortality rate was increasing and the driving reason for the development of a vaccine.

Awesome!

Great news!!

Still doing well

Had a CT scan last Thursday & a CT/PET Scan on Friday, saw my oncologist today and everything is still clean.

My last chemo session was the end of July 2023, so a year clean under my belt.

Thanks again to all who wished me well when this all started.

thanks folks, hip hip

Follow up on yesterday's oncology report, the CEA number (tumor blood marker)

1.7 ng/mL (0.0-4.7 ) . down from 1.9 on May 3.

Good range is 0 to 4.7 according to my oncologist.

Go ring that bell!!!!!

When I was told a couple years ago that I didn't need anymore chemo and my cancer appeared to be in remission I asked where the 'bell' was. I was told they don't do that because a lot of folks won't get the chance and they didn't want to upset them.
