Is visual proximity alert possible with custom POI?

In July 2022 you folks helped me get a custom POI (rest areas) with a proximity sound file alert installed on my Garmin XT. I have since turned off voice navigation because it was too intrusive to helmet-to-helmet communication. I'm sure this has killed the playing of the alert file. I have proximity alert audio set to single tone for custom POIs and I regularly hear a single tone but I have yet to be able to associate that tone with a rest area in proximity. What are your thoughts on how I could tell whether the single tone was a rest room proximity alert or something else? Note: All other driver assistance alerts are turned off yet I still hear a double-bong associated with school zones. This makes me wonder if any of the single tones that I hear are related to an alert that, like schools, can not be disabled.

A visual proximity alert would be ideal for me but AFAIK that is not possible. Thoughts welcome.

POI proximity alert testing has been educational

I have done a bunch of POI proximity alert testing and have determined that...

... the proximity alert "Single tone" setting produces a double-bong.

... there is an visual alert indicator upper right. I looks like a speaker with a circle underneath. Click it shows the details of the POI the triggered the alert.

This has been a great exercise and has resolved my primary reason for posting.
