Nuvi booting up faster with map update?

I just got my map update from Garmin today and loaded it onto the GPSr, took about 1 1/2 hrs, and it seems to boot up a little quicker then before... Or is it just me?

‹ Can I delete the 2008 map files from PC after update? Can someone explain map updates? ›

Actually it should be a little slower with more information on the map. I think it is just you, but not in a bad way.

My Nuvi seems to boot up faster as well

Hi,

I recently received my map update from Garmin. The update process took about an hour and a half as well. After the update completed, I also noticed that my boot up time seems to be faster.
But it seems to take a little bit longer to acquire a signal. I guess it evens out prior to the upgrade.

Look Look I got something old fixed and damn it runs a ton faster..... ok kidding but I will say I got the new map update and honestly I think it well it's the same maybe even a little that's right a little I don't know... it seems the same...but who knows maybe it is faster... I just felt like saying something too smile
