Extra POI Editor - Side Map Loading Script Error

google locked out machine access to the maps api without api key and $$$$ per view

the hardcoded V=3 parameter is blocked

EPE hasn't been modified in forever, before a key was neccessary, the developer hasn't been around, and no way to add a key if the user has one
I had been getting google messages for 2 years saying access was going away, then greyed out maps that were still readable, then it wet itself on 15 May 2022, as promised

it still works as long as you click out the constant errors

I use POIEDIT instead for conversions, not altered since 2007, but it accesses OSM so it still works

Thanks Almostbob. Any idea where I can get a copy of POIEDIT? When I do a Google search and go to those websites it redrects to a 'porn' site.

Sounds like more fun than editing poi files! Unfortunately, many searched for legacy applications seem to redirect to porn sites. Here is what my search eventually turned up: https://sourceforge.net/projects/poieditor/files/ I was unsuccessful in getting this application to work. I'm not sure if this is even the same POIEDIT application previously mentioned. I wonder if the original poster could post a non-porn url for the software, or upload a copy to a file sharing site.

One of the advantages of EPE was being able to put in lat/long to see the POIt on the map, and sliding the marker around to get a more accurate set of lat/long and saving in my various POI files. Anyone have any suggestions on software I can use to do that? I still like using EPE, but can no longer check and adjust the lat/long.
