Odd questions

Thought I'd ask one odd question and see if anyone else has things they are curious about but didn't want to ask.
I'm simply curious. When you are done preparing your bagel do you eat the top or bottom first?
They are decidedly not sweet!
The softness and skin on the top is worth waiting for, unless the bagel is the bread of a sandwich, then both top & bottom together, of course!
Where I live in flyover country what we call bagels have the texture and taste of cotton balls unless they add sweets like blueberries.
Where I grew up in NYC bagels exist to fight periodontal disease. They are decidedly not sweet!
Bottom.....
definitely the bottom.
