Where is the Junction View file now?

I powered up my old, trusty 2595 last week and it started booting, buzzed and then turned itself off. Nothing I did got it past that point, shutting off after every buzz.

I picked up a Drivesmart 66 as a replacement. Overall I like it.

One thing I've never liked is Junction View. With my units in the past I could view the hidden folders and files, find the Junction View file and rename the extension of the file so it would not display it.

Connected to my unit I do not see any hidden files on the unit. No map file, no JV file. As I'm displaying hidden files & folders and they should be visible, this is confusing.

Any suggestions?

Hidden .system folder

Have you changed the settings on your new Garmin from MTP mode to mass storage mode? There is a FAQ here that tells how to do that.

That's was it

Thanks Alan,

I changed that setting and now have the .system folder visible. Junction View is now disabled!
