Keeping The Windmill Alive – January, 2022

Perhaps you can post on a new book you're reading, a new hobby you're taking up or about random finds as you finally get around to cleaning out the..., or your most recent adventure?

Anything to keep your windmill alive.

Please keep comments polite.

This thread will be closed on the last day of the month and a new one will be opened.

Weather

I'm looking out into the back yard that was 70+ degrees a couple of weeks ago, watching the snow fall, and hoping it won't change to freezing rain before it stops. My GPS is resting quietly; I'm not driving anywhere today.

New GPS

Installed a Pioneer AVIC-W8600NEX in the car. Works great but so different than how my Garmin operates.

Window tinting

I had to remove old tint from front door windows. I have the new tint and I am trying to get this all down in my head b4 I start. How do I get it down past the inside door/window seal rubber without pinching it?

Chicago

JM held down the fort while I flew to Chicago for the extended weekend. Some close friends moved to the downtown area last October. This was my first time visiting the windy city and I really enjoyed it. Yes, it was cold, mainly from the wind. Food was great and people seemed friendly enough. We took mass transit everywhere, I'm sure if we were driving I would have had a different experience. Heard a lot of horn honking! This was my first time flying since 2019, so the whole experience of traveling was different. Still, it was good to spend time with quality friends.

Hopefully February Will Be Kind To Us

Will electric rates and fuel prices being so high, I sincerely wish mother nature will not be too harsh on us next month.

Utility Prices

Kind of hard to shop around for cheaper gas and electric rates when we only have one option unless you live in rural Utah then you may get different gas rates.

Sounds nice. We look for the day we can fly again. Doctors still have us basically isolated. Hearing about your trip sure makes me want to go somewhere. We are going again to Houston but we don't count that as a trip as it is spent the entire time in a medical facility.

Glad you had a good time and stay safe.
