USB-C Power Upgrade Delivers A Whopping 240W For Gaming Laptops And Other Devices

Likely no....

The current DriveSmart series still shows a USB-A port for power. I would also suspect there is little if any incentive to move to something like USB-C. We are not talking about a device that needs huge amounts of power for operation or charging. USB-C would be overkill.

USB-C

It's merely the shape of the male connector. New phones have C connector for a few years now, and it avoids the orientation issues of the mini, and micro styles.

As well, it has a rapid charge capability that others don't.
