I am so paranoid when I get out. I wear a mask and go nowhere but the doctor and blood lab. We do pickup at Walmart. I spray alcohol on my hands every time I get back in the car and I use a wetone to open any door I have to open. We have started going through drive through to pick up food. I spray the sacks in the car then I set all by the kitchen sink and wipe down drinks and throw away all paper then wash hands again and we eat. Paranoid right!!
NOW we have to go to Houston for my husbands PRRT cancer treatment. We have to stay in a hotel for several days. The number one sport for Covid 19 in Texas. Hope I can handle this.
I will not have housekeeping to keep anyone else from being in our room after I sanitize it. Just hope I don't meet anyone on the stairs. You know I won't be taking the elevator!
Well enough of my worrying.

Today the doctor let us know the insurance denied the PRRT treatment. Due to the Octreotide 30 shots helping reduce the cancer a little. The insurance only pays if your treatments with the shots are not working even though the new treatmend will help a lot more than the shots.
The doctor should be able to make the decision and not the insurance company. They said he can be tested in 4 months to see if he qualifies then.

That is not good One thing I dislike about insurance company's. Your doctor should be the one making the decisions. Hope the other treatment will continue to work Our prays are with you.

A mask is required. I brought one but didn't wear it. Neither did at least 3/4 of the other people. I can't see wearing a mask when in a berry patch and the fresh air and you can maintain the distance.

Now we have been told that there is a trial he qualifies for that is showing better results than the PRRT. It is another form of PRRT. We are looking into it.
What a rollercoaster. Just thankful that he is still here to enjoy the trip.
