Garmin Express Secondary Device "Greyed Out" Issue

Is there any reason why a Dezl 770 is "Greyed Out" & not opaque like my Nuvi 2797 in Garmin Express? I've tried to delete the GarminDevice.xml file & Current.gpx file but curiously they come back with the same timestamp of February 13th 2020 which should they not repopulate whatever the current time is?

is the dezl connected?

Connect the Dezl to the computer with its Garmin USB cable. It should not be grayed out. This doesn't happen right away. It could take several minutes for Garmin Express to detect the Dezl.

If the Dezl is not detected, unplug and remove it in software by deleting it in Garmin Express. After that, reboot the computer and reboot the Dezl. When plugged in again, Garmin Express will detect it.

GE detects the Dezl 770 just fine

GE detects the Dezl 770 just fine it updates it ok as well I was just curious why the image of the connected device is "faint" & not typically opaque, I wish I could add a screenshot to show what I'm seeing.

Any reason why C:ProgramDataGarminCoreServiceDevices(folder with unit ID) of my Dezl 770 is "empty" but my folder with unit ID for my Nuvi 2797 has the device image in it?

remove it and redetect it

Removing and redetecting the Dzel may solve the problem by placing the unit ID in the folder on the computer.

UnitID folder is present but empty

I've tried several times without success, the Dezl 770's UnitID folder is always empty, very odd too that the "GarminDevice.xml" file always has the same date of February 13th 2020 if it is deleted upon reboot should it not read the current timestamp of May 25th/26th 2020?

The GarminDevice.xml file & Current.gpx file are stuck on February 13 2020 despite being deleted countless times.

Mass Storage Mode?

Do you have your device set in the default MTP Mode? If so, try setting it to Mass Storage mode. See http://www.poi-factory.com/node/41416.

Mass Storage a no go

Yes I've tried Mass Storage mode, still the same result, I noticed in the hidden ".system" folder there are old Map files dated December 2019 but in Australia we've received the 2021.10 update a couple of months ago. It's a bizarre issue as to why the GarminDevice.xml file never repopulates to a new timestamp & is stuck on February 13th 2020.

I thought a Hard Reset would rectify this & pretty stumped as other than that there does not seem to be any operational issues but still curious why the file path Garmin/CoreServices/Devices/UnitID folder is empty for my Dezl 770 unit.
