Will Covid 19 delay the next map update

Most technology based companies have been able to implement "work from home" procedures and have continued most operations with minimal disruption.

It's probably being updated by employees at home but with travel restrictions it won't be a map I'll be able to utilize until probably July or August.

The map will probably be somewhat delayed.
Need to get the economy going again. The pandemic in 1968 that killed over 100k in the US and more than a million worldwide did not shutdown the economy. Like every pandemic those over 65 and those with risk factors need to be especially careful. In 1968 the thought was "the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few", now it is "the needs of the 1 outweigh the needs of the many". Every life lost is a tragedy, but a closed economy hurts and endangers everyone.

I would say Yes, there will be a delay. I’ve also seen delays and poorer than normal code versions in many other devices as well.

I also believe it may be somewhere between September to October.
Currently people are not driving much so there is no hurry to release a updated map.

Who cares?
Can't really plan any vacation trips.
So again, why even think about it.

The last time I filled my car up with gas was March 3, and I still have over a half tank. I have driven a total of 217 miles since that fill-up. It is obviously all local short trip driving just for essentials. No GPS or map needed for this kind of travel! At this rate, I will only use about 3 tanks of gas a year! I think the next time I fill up, I will add some Sta-Bil in the tank. I have also put the trickle charger on the battery a couple of times just to keep it topped off.
