A nice drive today....

Going a bit stir-crazy cooped up in the house, so we decided to grab some coffee & cruise up & down I-4 with the top down to see how the re-building is going. The Garmin got us off of it a few times where the traffic was backed up, but it's amazing how much it's changed.

Things are supposed to be opening up in Florida, but its sad to see how many small business will probably never recover... two of our favorite restaurants are now closed forever. :/

Yup. It is sad.

They allow the big box stores to open but the small business can't or they are hassled, or jailed, or fined.

Auto Zone. The check engine light came on. Auto Zone will come out to the parking lot and do a code read for free. Because of virus, they took my license and gave me the code reader. I plugged it into car, then brought it back into the store. They plugged it into their computer, and gave me a printout (and my license back).

Thank you Auto Zone.

actually

ventured out to the car wash, McDonald's pickup (healthy), and was going to go to the supermarket for the first time since March 13, but it looked like Daytona Beach on Memorial Day. Probably it's ok, but why knowingly head into a situation like that...

Our Very Own Minority Report

Two out of three GPS agreed, the other did not on the "best" route. We went up to to Norfolk, VA to visit one of our daughters.

Ending up with three GPS was one of those coincidences of life. We have a Garmin Nuvi bought before in-dash GPS was available. Then we had to get a new car, which came with an in-dash GPS, whether you liked or not. Then we had to buy a new phone which came with Android Auto. So we had three devices with us. Can't remember which of the three suggested the best route, but the irony from Philip K Dick's story "Minority Report" was there.
