Covid-19

Everyone stay safe and take care of yourselves and your families.

Anyone have a spare roll of toilet paper? Remember when Elaine on the Jerry Seinfeld show was asked that? Her answer was, "I don't have a square to spare."

Take care all.

A square to spare

One of my friends has something like 150 rolls of toilet paper squared away. No wonder the stores are out of everything with all of the hoarding going on.

I've never seen Costco's shelves so bare.

Stay safe.

Monday again..

Everybody please stay safe and healthy.

Are people nutz or what with buying all the toilet paper.

If you run out of toilet paper, then whatcha gonna do?

Dudlee wrote:

If you are self-isolating (quarantine) you have no idea how long it will be, 2 weeks, 4 weeks, months? No one knows!. Your plan was/is to buy enough food and supplies where you do not have to go out again, and again, exposing yourself to the coronavirus. You will be self-isolating for an unknown period of time, and hoping that you have accumulated enough food and supplies to last. So...

If you run out of toilet paper, then whatcha gonna do? If your answer is - just go out and buy more, then you are not using good logic and thinking clearly.

Every day the number of people with coronavirus increases exponentially, thus if you have to go back out into public areas you drastically increase the likelihood of being exposed to infection. If you say that you'll just be careful and not make contact with but a few people, and wash your hands...that isn't as good as it was early-on.

The questions and considerations you need to be asking yourself 'if' you plan on going out to replenish your toilet paper or food and other supplies - think about this:

Lab results found that the coronavirus (COVID-19) remained virulent on surfaces from up to 24 hours on cardboard and up to 2-3 days on plastic and stainless steel. It also stayed viable aloft in the air for up to three hours.

The above information is shocking when you think about who last touched whatever you touch. Was that person that last touched a door handle or gasoline pump handle before you touched it infected with the coronavirus? How about the groceries and supplies that are on the grocery store shelves? That bag of food or pizza box you have delivered? How about the people that prepared that food? How about the mailman that delivers your mail that you will be touching? The list goes on-and-on...

The only sure way to avoid being infected with the coronavirus is to self-isolate (quarantine), and even then you start out not knowing if the groceries and supplies you just bought might be contaminated with the coronavirus on the cans, glass, paper, plastic or cardboard.

It is recommended that anyone age 65 or older self-isolate. This includes anyone with medical issues, especially pertaining to the heart or lungs. How long should people self-isolate? No one knows!

things won't start (begin) getting back to normal...

At the earliest it is expected things won't start (begin) getting back to normal until July, August or September. And, that is when things start getting back to normal, not when things are normal again. Some experts think that timeline is too soon, and its many months further out.
