MetroGuide North America v.8 and C530

I own a Garmin C530 and I am very satisfied with it. The only issue is the fact that we can not download Routes to it. Reading on the Garmin site today I saw the MetroGuide North America v.8 is available.

It says "MetroGuide offers automatic route capability on the PC, and is compatible with Garmin units that do not have automatic route calculation themselves."

Can anyone tell me if I would be able to create a route in MetroGuide on my PC and download it (or whatever necessary) on the C530?
